Rogue Bakery Says…

Everyone knows about the RBCC —Rogue Bakery Cookie Club— right? Where you get a dozen cookies each month? Well, yeah. It’s a thing. Anyway, way back in the day, when those came out, I thought “You know, since Rogue Bakery is all about being different, there should be another cookie club…that’s the opposite. Like, instead of getting a lot of cookies once a month, you get…a small amount of cookies, multiple times a month!” I’m a clever guy. The strange, portion-controlled Rogue Bakery Cookie Club was introduced…then taken down, because apparently people want lots of cookies not a small amount of cookies. I guess I can see that.

Where am I going with this? Well, I’m bringing back the idea of a small amount of cookies, multiple times a month…but for R & D purposes. Enter the TESTER. The TESTER is a cookie subscription like no other [and only for local Columbus people]. First, if you want to be a TESTER, you had to have ordered at least one other time from Rogue Bakery. Why? Because I’m looking for people who are familiar with the cookies. When you’re a TESTER, you will get 4-6 cookies each week in July, starting with Sunday’s delivery. That’s from 16 to 24 cookies for the whole month of July. But, as a TESTER, you will have no say or choice in what cookies you will receive. Instead, you will receive only Experimentals, cookies varieties that are still being tested. They may include cookies from the past that may have been fine-tuned, as well as cookies that have never before seen the light of day. After you taste the cookies you receive, you may be asked for feedback regarding them, to see what you liked, and what you didn’t like. To thank you for your hard work of testing cookies, at the end of the TESTER month, you will receive a coupon code for $5.00, good on anything in the Rogue Bakery Online Store.

If you want to be part of this elite group, you need to ask yourself some questions:

Am I okay with receiving 4-6 cookies per week for the next 4 weeks?

Do I consider myself a pretty good judge on how a cookie should taste?

Am I open to trying radically different cookies that may be awesome, or might be kinda…weird?

Is Robin Thicke actually a clone, developed in a laboratory, of Alan Thicke?

This is a time of self-reflection, of wondering if you’re up to the challenge, if you’re willing to put down pre-conceived cookie notions, and be part of that elite group. It’s also a time to think “Hey, a few cookies delivered to me each week. That’s not so bad.” And did I mention the $5.00 coupon you’ll get at the end of the TESTER month?
